Contract Priorities

The details of your first contract will be determined by you and your colleagues. Remember: you are the union. Together, you will define the priorities that will be brought to the table for bargaining. The UAPD encourages you to speak out and let us and your organizing committee know what is important to you. We empower providers to advocate for the dignity and respect they deserve. A union builds the foundation for an organization with integrity and empathy to improve working conditions and the delivery of patient care.

Commonly identified priorities include, but are not limited to:

  • Heavy patient volumes

  • Provider burnout

  • Loss of autonomy

  • Inadequate staffing levels

  • Benefits

  • Salary and wages
